Insurance Committee 7. Commissioners. MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE .ATLANTIC BEAeH CITY COMMISSION HELD) AT THE CITY HALL ON MONDAY, AUGUST 11TH9 1958 AT 8 P.M. Present: Wm, S. Howell Preben Johansen Chas. R. Moore Hugh Roberts, Commissioners and Frank Thompson, City Attorney J.F. Waggoner, Jr., City Manager Adele S. Grage?, Chow Clerk Absent: Marion Marvin, Commissioner. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor®Commissioner, Mr. Howell. Minutes of the meeting of July 28th, 1958 were approved as written upon motion of Mr0 Johansen, seconded by Mr. Moore A letter was presented from the Department of Health Education, and Welfare acknowledging receipt of copies of the offer and acceptance of the Federal Construction grant for sewerage facili- ties under project No. WPC-Flae150 A bill was presented from the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the Federal Government to cover repayment to them of the 15,900000 advanced for engineering plans for sewage treatment facilities on Application No. Fla, 8ePe157 in 1947. Upon motion of Mr. Moore, seconded by Mr. Johansen approval was given to pay this bill of 0,900.00 from the Seer Fund. Upon motion of Mr. Roberta$ seconded by M,-ro Johansen approval was given to pay Mr. Frank Thompson $17005 for stamps and recording deeds on the Sewage Plant and Lift Station sites s same to be paid from the Sewer Fund. Mr. Waggoner presented Estimate a from the Wm. S. Smith Construc- tion in the amount of $10,980.00 and Estimate #1 from Joe Reinert- son of Jacksonville in the amount of $7,688066 which estimates have been approved by Walter J. Parks, Jrot Engineer and are ready for payment. Upon motion of Mr. Mooren seconded by Mr. Johansen approval was given for the payment of these two eats;mai es less 10% retainage on each? payment from the Seer Fund0 Mr. Waggoner advised that he has received a price cf $55895 for printing forms similar to our Tax forms, to be used to send out sewer assessment bills and would like approval for payment from the Sewer Fund. Upon motion of Mr0 Moore, seconded by Mrs Johaneen approval was given for the purchase of these forms for $55095 to be paid from thewer Fd, I► Minutes 8-11-581 Page #2 A report was received from the Insurance C mmittee, D.30 Watts e Chairman. They presented a suggested Resolution covering the procedures to be followed in obtaining instar ante for the City to cover Fire and Liability. Said Resolue tion was read in full, whereupon biro Moore moved its adoption* Said motion was seconded by Mr. Johansen and having been duly considered the Mayor put the Question thereon and the vote was: Aye: Johansen, Moore Roberts , Howell . p Nay: None y� Absent: Marvin Whereupon the Mayor declared said motion carried and said Resolution #58-24 adoeted,, Copy of ResUution #58-24 is at- tached to these minutes and maae a part thereof. An agrement was presented covering the use of our short wave Police Radio by Neptune Beach for $100.00 per month. We hope to have our radio in service around the first of September. . There was a discussion and upon motion of Mro Hooref seconded by Azo Johansen approval was given for the I ayor a Wm. S. Howell to sign this agreement with Neptune Beach. A bill was presented from the Auxiliary Police for Atlantic Beach's pro-rata share on uniforms in the amount of $188.60. This was discussed and upon motion of Mro Hooray seconded by Mr. Johansen it was decided to hold this matted in abeyance until it can be investigated by the Chief of Police and the Director of Public safety who will report to the Commission their recom- mendations Acting Fire Chief Wm, S. Howell presented the Fire Department report for the month of .July, 1958y which was received and filed. The Police Chief gave an oral report on the Police Department.
