09-20-55 v MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL HELD
AT THE TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH, 1955 AT 8 P.M.

Adele S. Grage, Town Clerk
The meeting was called to order by the President, IvMr. Minchew.
Mr. Adams presentedan Ordinance to Amend Zoning Ordinance #50
Article III (L) (3) to permit attached garages ( but no part of
the main building) to extend into the rear yard area ty max,
and moved its adoption by title only on first reading. It was
seconded by Mr. Feather and carried.
Upon motion of Mr. Carr, seconded by Mr. Feather it was passed by
title only on second reading. .
The budget for the year 1955-56 was studied and upon motion of Mr.
Adams , seconded by Mr. Feather an Ordinance to adopt and approve
the budget for 1955-56 was passed by Title Only on 1st reading.
Upon motion of Mr. Adams , seconded by 4r. Carr it was passed on
second reading.
Periodic Estimate #1 of the Whitmire Tank Co. covering work on the
elevated tank was presented and studied. Upon mption of Mr. Adams
seconded by Mr. Feather it as approved for payment from the Water-
works Cpnstruction Account in the amount of 411,747.50 less 10%
net due 410, 572.75.
It was the con-census of opinion that laundry, shower, storage space,
or other utility space ( not living quarters ) should be included in
the term "garage" as regards the above Ordinanee amending the Zoning
Ordinance, and the Town Clerk was directed'' to so advise the Town
Attorney for his information in preparingothe Ordinance.
Upon motion of Mr. Feather the meeting adjourned from day to day.
