10-26-55 v MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL
HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26TH, 1955 AT 7:30 P.M.
Present:
Norman Minchew
Marvin Carr
E. Gerry Adams
L.J. "Jack" Feather, Councilmen
and
J.F. Waggoner, Jr. Town Manager
Adele S. Grage, Towm Clerk
The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr. Minchew.
The Town Clerk advised that Orcinance #179 was approved by the
Mayor and returned to the Clerk.
Whereupon Mr. Adams introduced and caused to be read in full
Ordinance #180 entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE To approve and Adopt the Tax Assessment doll
for the year 1955, and to determine and Fix the date of
Taxation and make the Annual Tax Levy of the year 1955"
and moved that all rules be suspended and that said Ordinance
be passed on third and final reading, which motion was seconded
by Mr. Carr. Said motion having been duly considered with
insertion of 11 mills in Sections 2 and 3, the President put the
question thereon and the vote was as follows :
Aye: Adams , Carr , Feather, Minchew
Nay: None
Absent : Thames
Whereupon the President declared said motion carried and said
Ordinance #180 duly passed on third and final reading.
Upon motion of Mr. Adams the meeting adjourned from day to day
at 7:40 P.M.
