10-14-54 v MINUTTES OF THE ADJOURNED FETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN
COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14th, 1954
AT 8 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr . Minchew.
The request for reduction in assessment on certain lots in Atlantic
Beach as made for the Atlantic Beach Holding Co. by Mr. Harcourt
Bull was next considered. Mr. Hamilton, Tax Assessor advised that
he had looked over the lots and in some instances would recommend
reduction, but in others , the lots had already been reduced because
of their low or swampy condition. Upon motion of Mr. Thames,
seconded by Mr. Carr the assessments were changed in line with
notations on request letter, copy of which is attached to these
minutes.
The Tax Assessor recommended that the Saltair Apartments ' assess-
ment remain the same as on the Preliminary Roll. Upon motion of
Mr. Thames , seconded by Jr. Carr the recommendation was accepted.
Upon motion of Mr. Carr, seconded by Mr. Thames Ordinance #167
Approving and adopting the Tax Assessment Roll for 1954 was passed
on third and final reading. The millage to be 11 mills.
Upon motion of Thames, seconded by Mr. Carr Ordinance # 166
Adopting the Budget for the year 1951+-55 was passed on third and
final reading.
Upon motion of Mr. Thames the meeting adjourned from day to day
a$ 8: 55 P.M.
