05-26-53 v MINITES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL
HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY, MAY 26th, 1953 AT 8 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr. Adams.
The work to be done on the Plaza was next discussed, and a
letter from B.B. McCormick & Sons was presented in which they
advised that they would remove and stock pile the approximately
2200 cubic yards of muck and stock pile on adjoining right-
of-way, same to become their property and to be moved within
12 months. This part of job to incur no exoense to the Town.
They are to then cut 2 ditches and slopes paralleling Plaza
running East and West of the muck. This quantity will be
approximately 3000 cubic yards and will fill same in excavated
muck strip at a unit price of .40 cents per cubic yardl The
Town to supply Cross Sections showing the cut area as it exists
now and the same sections after the material has been moved,
and the Town is also to furnish whatever enhineering stakes
necessary to perform this work. Upon motion of Mr. Weiss,
seconded by Mr. Marvin this work was awarded to the B.B.
McCormick & Sons as specified.
Request from Mr. Robert Towers to put down an artesian well
on his property, Lots 1,2,3 Block 51 for use in his yard only,
as he wishes to continue to use Town water in his house. There
was a discussion and upon motion of Mr. Marvin, seconded by
Mr. Weiss approval was given for Mr. Towers to put down t :?.s
well under the conditions as specified by Ordinance, but only
to a depth of 500 feet. It was brought out that the well the
Town is using is 750 feet deep, and they do not feel that addi-
tional wells should go down to this strata.
Upon motion of Mr. Thames the meeting adjourned from day to
day.
