08-15-52 v MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 1952 at 6:30 P.M. Present: • E. Gerry Adams Glover Weiss R.S. Thames D.W. Bremer, Councilmen and J.A. Reid Mayor Adele S. Grage, Town Clerk The Town Clerk first administered the oath of office to Mr. Bremer as Councilman. After studying the tabulated bids covering the street paving, Duval Engineering and Contracting Co. were found to have the lowest bid, and upon motion of Mr. Weiss, seconded by Mr. Thames the following Resolution was adopted: WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Atlantic Beach, Florida did duly advertise for bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment required by said Town for the paving and improving of those parts or portions of those certain streets as particularly described in Resolution dated July 22, 1952 of said Town, and WHEREAS, in response thereto the said Town Council received bids for the same, which bids were duly opened, read, tabulated and considered by said Town Council. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Atlantic Be:.ch, Florida, that: Duval Engineering & Contracting Company, a corporation, is hereby determined to be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of all said labor, materials and equipment required by said Town for said work and that the said bidder is hereby awarded e contract for the furnishing of all said labor, materials and equipment at the price of p6,$05.00 to be paid in manner set forth and specified in Specifications for said work, said contract to be in the form specified in the call for bids, a copy of which form of contract is on file with the Town Clerk. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that E. Gerry Adams, as President of the Town Council, and Adele S. Grage, as Town Clerk, be, and they are, hereby severally authorized and directed to sign, execute, aAest and deliver such contract for and on behalf of said Town. BE IT.. Upon motion of Mr. Thames , seconded by Mr. Bremer approval was given for the payment of $200.00 to cover two tracts for right of way parallel to Route AlA west of Mayport Rd. same to be part of drainage ditch, the balance of the right of way is being deeded to the Town without cost by the R.C.B.S. Corp. The above amount to be payable $100. to Robert Magnus Brazeale and $100. to Carol Bradford. Upon motion of Mr. Bremer, seconded by Mr. Thames the meeting adjourned from day to day. OPP --e-� E.
