10-21-49 v MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF TME ATLANTIC BEACH
TOWN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21,
1949 AT 7 P.M.
Present:
F .P. Ganzel
D.P. Mason
R.S . Thames, Councilmen
and
Adele S. Grage, Town Clerk
The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr.
Ganzel.
The matter of a police car was discussed. The Committee
reported and recommended after consideration of all bids
that the Town Manager be authorized to buy 1-four door
Dodge Meadowbrook sedan from Massey Motors, Inc. with a
low bid of $1940.85 less allowance for Ford of 31650.85
leaving a difference to be paid of $290. Mr. Thames
moved the acceptance of the committee's repomrnendation,
this was seconded by Mr. Mason and carried by call vote
of Mason, Thames, and Ganzel, Aye.
The Committee next reported on the purchase of a dump
truck and recommended that the Town Manager be authorized
to purchase a 21 yd. Dodge dump truck from Massey Motors, Inc .
who were low bidders at a complete unit net cost of $1$50.
Upon motion of Mr. Mason seconded by Mr. Thames the recommen-
dation of the committee was accepted and approved, the call
vote was Mason, Thames and Ganzel; Aye. The financing of
the truck to be decided later .
Upon motion of Mr. Mason, the meeting adjourned from day to
day.
