TOWN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWNHHALL ON MONDAY, AUGUST lgth,
1947 AT $ P.M.

Beale Travis
W.D. Merritt
Harcourt Bull, Jr. , Councilmen
and
G.L. Rosborough, Mayor
Frank Thompson, Town Attorney
C.R. Frazier, Town Supervisor
Adele S . Grage , Town Clerk
Mr. Gene Peacock appeared before the Council
with a request that he be permitted to move one of
the Camp Blanding houses onto his Lot 20, ABT for
conversion into a bungalow. He was advised to bring
detailed plans and specifications at which time the
Council would bake acti on on his request .
Thompson advised that in his opinion Mr.
"eiss' request to convert his secondary building into
a 2 family residence could not be granted according to
his interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance . Upon motion
of Mr. Bull , seconded by Mr. Merritt the Town Supervisor
was instructed to advise Mr. Weiss that permission could
hot be granted and quote the provisions of the Zoning
ordinance.
Upon motion oft r. Bull , seconded by Lr. Merritt
the following Resolution was adopted
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA
THAT the following lots be marked "County Land" on
the 1946 Tax Roll , as they were held by the County on
January 1, 1946: Lots 31 and 34 , Block 7 and Lots 30 and 32
Block lli and Lot 20, Block 12 for years 1944,1945 , and 1946 .
The matter of sewerage financing was discussed at
length. It was the opinion of Mr. T iwmpson that we need
more information on cost of the sewerage project and what
other towns have paid and their experiences as to financing
before we do anything about a financial agent. After
considerable discussion Mr. Frazier was asked to write hr.
Leedy of Leedy, Wheeler and Alleman that the matter of
employing a financial agent is being held up pending our
getting answers to a lot of questions particularly in
reference to the matter of enforcing rental collections ,
etc .
The meeting adjourned from day to day.
