1947 AT 8 P .M.

Harcourt Bull, Jr. , Councilmen
and
G.L. Rosborough, Mayor
C.R. Frazier, Town Supervisor
Frank Thompson, Town Attorney
The application of John J. Humphries for a certi-
ficate of convenience and necessity to operate a taxicab
service in Atlantic Bauch was discussed. Mrs 1144ahow
Mr. Minchew moved that the application be approved and
certificate granted if within thirty days from this date
Mr. Humphries has filed with the Town Clerk certification
of Insurance coverage satisfactory to the Town and a
certified copy of the rates to be charged. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Bull and unanimously adopted.
There being no further business the meetinF adjourned from
day to day.

MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH
TOWN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 29 TH,
1947 AT 8 P.M.
Present:
Beale Travis
W. D. Merritt
N.A. Minchew, Councilmen
and
C.R. Frazier, Town Supervisor
Upon motion of Mr. Merritt, seconded by Mr. Minchew it
was decided to borrow $1000.00 from the Beach Bank for 60
days to take care of current obligations and the following
resolution was adopted :
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TORN OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, DUVAL COUNTY, FLORIDA: that
"We , the Town Council of the Town of Atlantic Beach, Florida,
do hereby appoint Beale Travis and Adele S. Grage , respectively
the President of the Town Council and the Town Clerk of the
said Town, our joint attorneys for us and in our name and stead,
to jointly and in their said .official capacities , draw, sign
110 and endorse promissary note in amount of $1000.00 for General
Fund; and do waive demand notice , and notice of protest of
all such notes.
Giving and granting to our said attorneys full power
and authority to do and preform all and every act and
thing whatsoever requisite necessary or proper to be
done in and about the premises, as fully to all intents
and purposes, as we ,acting in an aggregate official
capacity, might or could do; hereby ratifying and
confirming all that our said attorneys shall lawfully
do , or cause to be done by virtue hereof."
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
