10-14-47 v MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEA'lH TOWN
COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14TH, 1947
AT 8 P.M.

C.R. Frazier, Town Supervisor
Adele S. mage, Town Clerk
:r. Smith of Smith & Gillespie, Engineers explained their
contract on acting as Engineers on the reconstruction of the
Seawall, and read the contract in its entirety .
There was considerable discussion of Mr. Smith' s suggested
plan to build a new seawall over and around the present one .
His approximate figure for the overall project, including
runways , was 1682, 440.
Many questions were asked relative to this seawall , also as
to groins, materials, retaining walls, etc. Many other ideas
and plans were suc-ested and there was a lenkthy discussion
on all tnese. subjects . There was no definite action taken
at this time however .
Tpon motion of Mr. Merritt, the meeting adjourned from day
to day .
