12-17-47 v MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED. MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 1947 r AT 8 P .M. Present: Bogle Travis, N. A. Minchow W.D. Merritt W.E. Williams, Jr. Harcourt Bull, Jr. , Councilmen and G.L. , Rosborough, Mayor C.R. Frazier, Town Supervisor • The meeting was called to order by Mr. Travis, President. There was a discussion of the use of water for jet purposes, and it was decided that permission of the Council will be necessary. The matter of water rates was discussed at length, and upon motion of Mr. Minchew, seconded by Mr. Williams, the following resolution was ut_animously adopted: C AESOLUTI Old WHEREAS, The Town of Atlantic Beach will become the owner and operator of the water system in the Town effective January 1st, 194S and WHEREAS, It is necessary that needful Rules and Regulations for the conduct of the said waterworks system be put into effect as of the above named date, NOW, THP'$1 PORE BR IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL., That the following Rules and Regulations shall become effective on January 1st, 1948: CA) .. All tap fees for lass than 1" shall be $25.00 for each. meter installed. The fee for l" meters shall be $35.OQ. The foe for lig meters shall be $50.00. (4'he minimum water rental for the period from date of installationto the following January 1st shall' be collected at the time the deposit is made for tap fee. CBS Water rentals shall be payable in advance annually and are due and. payable within 30 days from date of bill. In the event of delinquency, the water shall be cut off and before. it is eut back on, the delinquent amount must be paid, together with a cutin fee of $2.00. The minimum rental shall be $15.00 par year for each meter and meters must be installed for each living unit or single business unit. In lieuof separate meters. for each said. unit, the rental foe shall. be one-half the minimum for each additional unit furnished through each motor. The above minimum will entitle the user to 20,000 gallons of water per quarter for each meter. In case of excess use, the user will be billed at the end of each quarter for such excess water. (C) Excess water rates per quarter shall be as follows: First 20,000 gallons above minimum - t.15 per thousand gallons; Next 30,000 gallons - $.12. per tIdotimarld gallons, All over 50,000 gallons above the minimum-4.10 per thousand gallons. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I, Adele S.
