04-23-46 v MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TOWN
COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL, TUESDAY,APRIL23 , 1946 AT
8 P.M.
The meeting was called by the President pursuant to the
following notice:
"G.L. Rosborough, Mayor
and
E .L. Chiasson
Beale Travis
E.L. Jones
Don Goodling , Councilmen ,
Frank Thompson, Attorney
C.R. Frazier, Town Supervisor
Adele S. Grage , Town Clerk
You, and each of you are hereby notified that there will
be a special meeting of the Atlantic Beach Town Council
at the Town Hall at 8 P.M. , April 23, 1946 .
Please take due notice thereof and govern yourselves
accordingly.
The following matters will be considered:
1. Discussion and action re : Water system- Dobber' s
Sub-division.
2. Consider for final passage Ordinance requireing
Connection, setting fees for taps, rentals , etc .
on the Neptune Connection.
3. Such routine matters as may come before the Council.

The following members were present:

The meeting was called to order by the President , James A.
Cranford.
After considerable discussion , Mr. Mann,who had applied for
a franchiseto supply water in the Dormers Sub-Division , was
asked to submit in detail a proposal , giving complete information
on plans , specifications and all other facts needed as a basis for
further negotiations.
A Resolution requested by the City of Jacksonville Beach relative
to Daylight Saving Time was passed to the next meeting.
By unanimous consent the following Resolution was approved for
a liquor license for Mrs. Alpha Paynter:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
That,
WHEREAS The Town Council on September 7, 1943 passed a
Resolution tp issue only two latah liquor licenses in the
Town of Atlantic Beach, one of which is to be for the Hotel
Reservation,
AND WHEREAS, The Town Council has received an application

from Mrs. Alpha Paynter , located on Atlantic Boulevard and
Ocean Front,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that Mrsd Alpha Paynter be given
a Retail Liquor License.
Mr. Ch3&sson made official report on the final settlement
with Duval Engineering & Contracting Co. on the W.P.A. Street
Account, same being settled on payment of the Balance of the
principal due , in amount of $317.$3.
The meeting was declared adjourned.
