In the absence of the President , the meeting
was called to order by the Vice-President , E. L. Chiasson.
Upon motion of Beale Travis , seconded by E. L.
Jones An Ordinance covering " Abatement of Nuisances
caused by the uncontrolled Growth of Grasses , Weeds ,
and Underbrush, etc." was passed on third and final read-
ing. 1;10. is amount of fine to be inserted in Section 4.
Upon motion of E. L. Jones , seconded by Beale
Travis a Resolution covering lots to be cleaned off, was
passed, as follows :

amounts to and constitutes a nuisance endangering the generall
health, safety and welfare of the community at large ,
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE i.:AYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL
OF TI-1 SAID TOWN, that it hereby declare the condition on
said lots a nuisance endangering the general health, safety
and welfare of the community at large and directs the
Town Clerk to forthwith notify the owner of the premises
upon which said nuisance exists to abate such nuisance
within 30 days from date of notice .
A letter from Mr. Patterson, Warden' s Civic Cihthb relative
to Recreational Director for the summer months was referred
to Mr. E. L. Jones who is to look into the matter and make
recommendation on same to Council at next regular meeting.
Upon motion of E.L. Jones , seconded by Beale Travis ,
an Ordinance Amending Ordinance #$4 for Board of Appraisors
for I,,iscellaneous Streets by adding " Plaza from East Coast
Drive to Sherry Drive". Upon motion ofE.L. Jones, seconded
by Beale Travis it was passed on second reading.
The matter of securing a Life Saver for week-days in
conjunction with Neptune Beach was referred to lir. Travis
and his committee for recommendation at next meeting, after dis-
cussion.
Upon motion of E.L. Jones , seconded by Beale Travis
the following bills were approved for payment :

The matter of the Neptune Beach Volunteer Fire
Department 's new truck was discussed and ILIr. Travis and
Mr. Rosborough were asked to look into whether our fire
rates would be affected, etc .
