The minutes of the regular mon -hly meeting of July 12th were
approved aa rend.
The Treasurer' s report wem accepted, subject to • he final okay
of the Chairman of the r inancc , nd Taxation Co;nrittee. The Chairman of the
Finance and Taxation committee reoort with reference to 7/8tha Certificates,
that because of the necessita of keep' ng a aubstani-I_al bank balance , the
eiLeunt: of bonds purchased was held to $5 ,000.O( . The bonds have been
purehaamed and are now in the Safety deposit vault aft the beach Bunk.
Upon motion of Mr. Cranford, seconded by Mr. Trovis, the following
bills were ordered paid:

Upon motion of Mr . Cranford, seconded by Mr. Traai.n , the following
resolution was unanimously oarmed:
"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TONN COUNCIL OFTH^ TC,,,' OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA: that
"We , the Town Council of the Town of Atlantic Bench, Florida, do
hereby appoint E. L. Chiasson and C. P. Frazier, rosoectively the President
of the Town Council end the Town Clerk of the said Town, our joint attorneys
for ups and in our name and stead, to jointly and in their respective official
capacities, draw, sign and endorse promissory notes; and to waive demand
notice , and notice of protest of all such notes.
"Giving and granting unto our said attorneys full power and authori-
ty to do and perform all and every ect and thing whetmoever requisite nec-
essary or proper to be done in end about the premises , am fully to all in-
tents and purposes, us we , acting in on aggregate official capacity , might
or could do; hereby ratifying and confirming all that our said attorneys ; hal'
lawfully do, or cause to be done by virtue hereof. "
Upon motion of Mr. Travis, seconded by Mr. Cranford, the following
were aaupointed as Election Officials to conduct the general election on
August 8th, each to receive the :gum of X5.')0 for their services:
Mrs. Henry Isaacs, Clerk
Mrs. H. W. Grego , Inspector and
= Mr. A. S. Berlack , Inspector .
llirThe Clerk made e report in reference to the removal of the gates
at Atlantic Boulevard; that thc Army has approved the removal of the gates
and that the County has been notified to that effect.
