12-05-44 v MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TONN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL, TUESDAY, 8 P.M. , DECEMBER 5TH , 1944. Present : James A. Cranford E.L. Chiasson E.L. Jones and G.L. Rosborough, Mayor C .F. Frazier, Town Supervisor The meeting was celled to order by the President , James A. Cranford. The minutes of the meeting of November 7th , 1944 were read and upon motion of E .L. Jones , seconded E .L. Chiasson they were approved. Mr. Frazier reported that the matter of the "Hulsey request had been taken care of. There was a great deal of discussion relative to the ocean front property refilling and repairs made necessary by the recent storm, end Mr. Jones and his committee were requested to get more information and oriccs from several concerns as to prices , etc , our being particularly interested in regards to the street ends. Mr. Cranford rc potted that °.r. Howell is working on the gilliams Tax suit . Upon motion of E.L. Chiesson seconded by E.L . Jones, the Treasurer' s report was approved as read subject to the Treasurer' : signature. Upon motion of E.L. Jones, seconded by E.L. Chiasson, seconded by E.L. Jones payment to City of Jacksonville Beach for the Radio Eeuipmc nt in the police car and installation was approved. Mr. Frazier presented his monthly report to the Council. Mr. Frazier ar sented to the Council the matter of the delin- uent street paving accounts. After considerable discussion it was to concensus of opinion that the matter should be taken up with the Town Attorney and pqrdSet on opinion from him as to the proper procedure for handling collections. '.'r.. Cranford is to talk to Mr. Howell on the matter. Mr. E.L. Chiasson advised that there was nothing new from the Beeches Post Pier Planning Board. The uestion of one centralized postoffice at the beaches rain discussed and Town Supervisor Frazier wus instructed to get inforruation on thin matter and make a report to the council at the next meting if possible.
