The minutes of the regular mon4-hhly meeting of April 6th
were read and a-)nroved.
The Town Treasurer submitted his usual monthly financial
report , which was , upon motion of Mfr. Cranford , seconded by
Mr. Ch' asson , aporov-:d Ps rend.
Upon motion of Mr. Cranford , seconded by Mr. Travis , the
following monthly bills were approved and ordered °aid.

The dimout regulations were further discussed.
The handling of certain elements , recently moving into the
Town was discussed. The City Supervisor explained to the Mayor
and all members the policy adopted regarding these new residents ;
namely , that the Town Marshal had been instructed to deal with
them firmly and impress upon them the fact that they are now
living in a neighborhood that does not tolerate drunk and dis-
orderly conduct. The City Supervisor was instructed to confer
with the ''unicipal Judge and convey to him the unanimous opinbn
of the Town Council tht there are several important reasons
why shipyard workers now living here must be given to understand
that the law is to b : enforced in this community.
The letter of thanks from J. B. i snot, Secretory of the
Chamber of Commerce was read.
The matter of closing the Beach to traffic this summer
during certain hours as is provided by low was discussed and
temporarily passed.
The matter of dressing in cars on the Beach and spreading
picric lunches was discussed. This matter was brought to the
attention of the Marshall .
aThe Council determined that it ' s not possible under the
Zoning Ordinance for the Building Inspector to issue a Hermit
to build stables in the Town.

Mr. Travis introduced and moved its passage on first
reading , the follo,'iing Ordinance , which motion was seconded
by Mr. Ch' a-zson and the Ordinance was passed on first reading.
"AN ORDINANCE RE''UIRING A STAIRWAY TO THE REAR OF
CERTAIN SECOND STORY BUILDINGS IN THE TONN OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLOFIDA , TO AFFORD AMPLE FIRE ESCAPE IN AND
UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. "
Upon motion of Yr. Travis , seconded by Mr. Chiesson,
this Ordinance :Alas passed on second reading.
The City Supervisor was directed to address a letter of
thanks to the Yucca Garden Circle for their donation of a
sandbox for the playground in the nark.
There being no further business for consideration the
meeting adjourned.
