to order by the president.

You end etch of you are hereby requested to be in attendance
upon a special meeting of the Atlantic Beach Town Council to
be held at the Town Hall ?t 7: 45 P. M. on Tuesday, April 7th.
This meeting is celled for the following purpose .
1. To meet € t your reguler meeting piece promptly at
7: 45 ". M. for the purpose of convening in P reguler
session in proper form end then proceeding to the
Neptune Town Hell to meet in joing session with the
Town Council of Jecsonville Beech end Neptune Beech
Defense Council , et which time Pnd place the joint
sessions of the Beeches Town Councils, together with
e delegate from Ponte Vedre and MPyport 111.1 receive
a report from the Beaches Defense Council of the
progress made todate end e definite plan outlining
the work to be done in the future.
2. To Pct upon ell matters preteining to the defense
of your citizens in the Town of Jtlentic Beach in
coordination with the other municipalities.
3. To ellocmte , eppropriete , underwrite or otherwise
provide for such funds for defense work AS mey be
agreed upon by the joint sessions aforesaid.

The reading of the minutes of the regular monthly meeting of March
10, 1942 , was postponed to the next regul_ r monthly meeting. All
business was dispensed with end the Mayor end members of the Council
proceeded to the Neptune Town Hall to meet in joint session with
the City Councils of Neptuhe Beach end Jacksonville Beech .
Acting under the authority contained in e resolution passed February
19, 1942, which Provides in substance that e majority of the Mayor
1 . and Town Council, without authority of a regular session acting as P
committee we s empowered to appropriate ree son€ble sums of money for
defense purposes, the Town officials participated in discussion end
agreement between the various Towns and municipalities appropriating
4900.00 to supplement funds for defense work and agreed to assume
a pro rated amount, same being X200.00, to be paid to the Defense
Council , to be disbursed upon the authority of the Executive
Committee of the Beeches Defense Council.
There being no further business for consideration the
meeting ways adjourned .
