04-14-42 v MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH
TOWN COUNCIL HELD AT THE TOWN HALL AT 8 P. M. April 14, 1942.
The President celled the meeting to order and the
following members answered Present to the roll call.

The clerk read the Minutes of the Regular Meeting
of March 10th, 1942, which upon motion of Mr. Allen , seconded
by Mr. Cranford were approved as read.
The Clerk read the minutes of the Special Meeting of
April 7, 1942, which upon motion of Mr. Cranford, seconded by
Mr. Allen, were approved as read.
Mr. Cranford, the Town Treasurer, submitted his usual
monthly financial report, which , was adopted and ordered filed.
Upon motion of Mr. Allen, seconded by Mr. Cranford,
the following bills were approved and ordered paid.

The President explained that he had had a converence with
Joe Williamson, Jr. , in reference to the waterworks and
that Mr. Williamson was still tied up on a Government contract
and had not been able to get to the work authorized et the
meeting of March 10th.
A letter from the Town Attorney concerning the Adams Tax Suit
was read and discussed in reference to the injunction suit,
filed by Mr. Adams to enjoin the Tax Collector of the Town ?Mr
*titling collection of 1941 taxes. By unanimous annroval the
the Town Attorney' s request to proceed with an annearance in
this suit along the lines suggested in his letter, provided
however, the cost to the Town would be nominal , was discussed.
The President of the Town Council was designated as the proper
person to confer with the Town Attorney regarding the cost of
this appearance and if the Attorney' s cost are Nominal to advise
the Town Clerk in reference to further procedure.
There being no further business for dbnsiderat on the meeting
was adjourned.
