COUNCIL HELD AUGUST 11, 1942, at 8 P. M. AT THE TOWN HALL
TO CANVASS THE RETURNS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION.
The meeting was celled to order by the Vice President and the
following answered the roll call :

James A. Cranford
Fred C. Allen
The Mayor, G. L. Rosborough
Mr. Cranford introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Mr . Allen and
unanimously adopted.
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Inspectors and the Clerk of the General
Election held in Atlantic Beech, on August 11th , A. D. 1942, for
the purpose of electing e Mayor and Five Councilmen, canvassed
the votes cast and did make due returns of the same in words
and figures as follows :

Ne , the undersigned, being the Inspectors and Clerk
appointed to conduct the General Election in the Town of Atlantic
Beach, on Tuesday , August 11th, 1942, for the purpose of electing
a Mayor and. five Councilmen, hereby certify that we conducted
said election on said date , and counted the ballots cast for and
ag-inst the candidates whose names are printed on the ballots and
find the results to be as follows :
The number of qualified voters , according to the Registration
Book, VAS 87
The number of such qualified voters who particinated in
said election, and who cast ballots in said election, NIS30
The number of Ballots c?st for G. I . Rosborough for
Mayor, VAS S 29
The number of Ballots cast for S. S. Jacobs for
Councilman WAS 29
The number of Ballots cast for H. G. Isa'cs for
Councilman NAS 30
The number of Ballots cast for n. L. Chi arson for

The number of Ballots cast for James A. Cranford for

The number of Ballots cast for Beale Travis for

The number of Ballots cast for Herbert Swisher for

IN VITNESS WHEREOF, we have executed this certificate this

Be it further resolved, and it is hereby found end deter-
mined by theTown Council of Atlantic Beach, acting in the
cppscity of a canvassing board, that a majority of the
qualified voters , who n?rticipeted in said General election
cast their votes in favor of the above candidates as
follows:
