4110 COUNCIL HELD AUGUST 26, 1941 AT 8 P. M. AT THE TOWN HALL
TO CANVASS THE RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL REFERENDUM ELECTION.
The meeting was celled to order by the President and the
following answered the roll call :
Fred Allen
E. L. Chiasson
H. G. Isaacs
J. C . Outler.
The Mayor , G. L. Posborough and Town Attorney, C. C.
Howell, Jr. were also present.
Mr. Chiasson introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption. Mr. Outler seconded the motion and the Resolution
unanimously adopted.
RESOLUTION
010 WHEREAS the Inspectors and the Clerk of the Special
Referendum Election held in Atlantic Beach on August 21 , 1941 ,
for the purpose of ratifying or rejecting House Bill No. 1508 ,
being an Act to Amend Chapter 13907, Laws of Florida 1929, being
the City Charter of the Town of Atlantic Beach, Laws of Florida ,
regular session 1941 , canvassed the votes cast and did make due
returns of the same in words and figures as follows:
CERTIFICATE OF RESULTS OF SPECIAL REFERENDUM ELECTION OF THE
TOWN OF ATLANTIC BEACH , HELD ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 21 , A. D. 1941.
TO THE TOWN COUNCIL,
TOWN OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
DUVAL COUNTY,
FLORIDA.
We, the undersigned, being the Inspectors and Clerk appointed
to conduct the Special Referendum election in the Town of
Atlantic Beach, on Thursday , August 21 , 1941 , for the purpose
of ratifying or rejecting mouse Bill No. 1508, being An Act to
101P Amend Chapter 13907, Laws of Florida 1929, being the City
Charter of the Town of Atlantic Beach, Laws of Florida , regular
session 1941 , hereby certify that we conducted said election on
said date , and counted the ballots cast for and against ratifica-
tion of said House Bill No. 1508 , and find the results to be as
follows:
The number of qualified voters according to the Registration
Book, ryas 88
The number of such qualified voters who participated in said
election and who cast ballots in said election, Nes' . . . . 74
The number of ballots cast ± OR House Bill No. 1508, being

IN WITNESS WHEREOF , we have executed this certificate this

THEREFORE, we , the Town Council of the Town of Atlantic
Beach, Duval County, Florida, herein and hereby
officially determine , declare and publish, the. ra.tifica-
tion of the aforesaid House Bill No. 1508; end hereby
solemnly pronounce that from this time forward said
House Bill No. 1508 according to Section 5 thereof, is
in full force end effect.
There being no further business for consideration,
the meeting was adjourned.
