;Fla., held at the Town Hall, on July 19, 1926.

Present: Messrs. Mason, Rogers, Bell and Horne.
A motion to reconsider the vote on the adoption of the Committee
on Public Works as acted upon at the previous meeting was lost.
Mayor Bull, who was present, spoke on the Southeastern Play Week
;,project, which he outlined briefly, and was followed by Mr. Rob-
inson, Publicity Director of the Play 'reek. He explained some of
the details, plans, etc., and reported that Jacksonville and
Jacksonville Beach were to make appropriations.
Thereupon Mr. Horne moved and Mr. Rogers seconded,that the Council
go on recowd as being in hearty sympathy with the movement.
Carried by viva voce vote.
The President of the Council appointed Messrs. Bull, Pritchard
and Horne as a Committee to cooperate with similar committees in
Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach.
'Mr. Pritchard came in at this point.
ORDINANCE A-13 was read by section and put on first reading, and
referred to Committee on Laws and Rules for immediate report.
The Committee on,Laws and Rules reported favorably, with recommen-
dation that it do pass.
It was moved and seconded that the rules be suspended and that
1 the ordinance be put on second reading. So ordered.
It was moved and seconded that the rules be suspended and that
{ ordinance A-13 be put upon its third reading and final passa3e.

i Mr. T'Engle, of the Legal Dept.F.E,C.R.R., was introduced to the
?;Co:mcil, and suggested that all demand for street crossing, as
3 previously formulated by the Council, be dropped except as to
that for Second -street, and that in the event o3 the adoption of
this suggestion, he would take up with the proper authorities the
question of paving East Coast Drive from the Atlantic 'Blvd. to
Seventh -street. He also reported that the R.R.Co. would pay with
out question their proper share of the paving of East Coast Drive
!`from Seventh -street to Tenth -street, as set forth in the Paving
Resolution. i
0_RDINANCE A-12 - On Section taxing Slot Machines, it was moved
and seconded that the tax on Slot Machines be made $100.00 per
machine.

It was moved and seconded that Ordinance A-14 be passed upon
suspension of rules, and the vote stood

Adopted.
An ELECTION RESOLUTION providing,th. Pm of ballot for the
election to be held on the 10th. .or the hours of voting,
for the appointment of three inspectors, etc., was passed on
motion of Yr. Rogers seconded by Par. Pritchard.
There being no further business before it, the Council adjourned
to meet on the 22nd,inst. as a board of Equalization_on leneral
