equipment in the conference room did not make this possible.
Jack was contacted, by phone, acrd he asked that the meeting
be called to order at 7:40 PM,
Barbara Bonner made a motion to approve the minutes of the
last meeting. June Morris seconded and the motion passed.
Carl reported that he had spoken with Brenda Wray earlier in
the day acid that she was in the process of contacting the
other sub-committee members for the "Fall Bright Spots Tour".
Those members are Barbara Hopson, Allison Johnson and Robin
Soergel. Brenda expressed that she felt most of the commit-

of t}re rrremk~ers are experienced from the spring tour. A tenta-
tive date was set for the weekend of November 9. A further
report on t}ie fall tour will be made at tyre next meeting.
June led the discussion on the Holiday Luminaria event. She
suggested Sundav, December 22 as "Luminary Night" with a rain
date for the following day. The fact that the City Christmas
Tree celebration is to be held at Donner Park this year was
also discussed. Carl mentioned that Towncenter sacs having a
Christmas Tr. ee Li.g}rting this Year and perhaps the ltuninary
kits could be sold at that function. Also, it was agreed that
selling the kits on a Saturday morning at IZussell Park, as in
the past, would be a good idea.
Carl reported that he still had in stock approximately 150
kits left from last year. It was agreed that ordering 500
additional kits would be enough for this year. June Morris
will chair the event and Carl will coordinate with RAP to put
in the order. Details pertaining to marketing of the kits
will be discussed at the October meeting.
The status of tyre proposed budget was explained. So far, in
the budget process, the operating portion of the beautifi-

change in the status of Ron's position from part-time to full
time has not ,yet been discussed or included in the changes
made to the budget. There will be a final public hearing and

budget to go into effect on October 1. Work will not begin
until approxin-ately February of next year, according to the
