Minutes from the workshop meeting: March 28th, 0(1 5
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Cindy corey at 7:00
in the conference room at City Hall.

NEW COMMUNITY CENTER AT DONNER PARK
Discussion took place on the site of the new Community Center
at Donner Park. Michael Dunlap was in attendance to discuss
his proposed site selection (see attached) . Michael propose
constructing the Center in the central location because the
building would be close to the existing activities, this
location would give a better view and the Center would be
integrated in the Park.
The Board proposes to construct the Center where the existing
building is located and there reasons were as follow: the
corner gives better access to the building, there would be
• no tree loss, the parking would be adjacent also the Board
feels the corner provides better security.
Gail Baker spoke on behalf of the citizens of the Donner
Community and she feels the Community would like for the Center
to be constructed were the existing building is located. Gail
thanks the citizens would prefer the corner because they are
use to seeing the building in the corner also they're not to
acceptable to changes.
Barbara Hopson made a motion that the Board recommend constructing
the Community Center near the present location. Ed Waters
second and the motion carried.
With no other business the meeting adjourned.
