07-05-94 v TREE CONSERVATION BOARD Minutes of July 5, 1994 The Board held its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 5, in the City Hall Conference Room. Present were: Carolyn Woods, Chairman Tom Frahne Jim Pelkey Mae Jones Staff: George Worley, Designee Carl Walker, Coordinator The meeting was called to order at 7:40 PM by Carolyn Woods. Under old business, Greg Christovich, General Manager of the Se l va Marina Country Club, was present to introduce his re- vised tree removal plans for the club' s driving range. The revision shifted the proposed area to the south of its orig- inal location which allowed for the 36" DBH oak, the subject of discussion at the last meeting, to be saved. The amended plan calls for a total of 25 trees to be removed, with a DBH of 6"-14"each; of these, 14 were not shown on the original application (12 pines, 1 oak, and 1 magnolia) . Mr. Christovich will replace the trees, on a one-to-one basis but requested that he be given a year' s time to install all of the replacement trees. The Board agreed to this proposal. Jim Pelkey made a motion to accept the revised proposal on the basis of replacement of 250" caliper, with a minimum of 3" caliper each. Mae Jones seconded and during discussion, Mr. Christovich was requested to provide a revised listing of the trees proposed for removal, to include their sizes. This will be turned in to George Worley and retained as a part of the file. On this basis, the motion unanimously passed. The next order of business was the application for removal at Lot # 39, Oceanwalk, Unit # 1. Property owner Bob Wienberry was present for the discussion and explained that the house plan had already been modified in order to save several large trees on the property. There are 5 oak trees proposed for removal, and a total of 13 palms, all within the house foot- print. One of the 5 oaks has a DBH of 36" and the Board ex- pressed concern on removal of this tree. An oak and a mag- nolia near the side of the house were also discussed but it was agreed that they could both be saved. Jim Pelkey moved to accept the plan with the exception that 4 of the oaks be replaced with hardwoods on a 1/3 ratio to -pa 4aa.A,Aoa sem s t gl -pas,tana{ a,..taM # pue R # s.'D1 '..to.t,Aa Ut '4eg; palou sem 4T 'EuoT.eaT Idde eq. u0 -5utuueld a.An4n4 .toj uolpel.o5au jo ads 4 s t g. u t a.ta 4u T passa-td xa sueA3 ,At4 -sasegd u t auop eq P i noa pue 'sawoH xa4ua0 g.TM aptsiiuI1 eniag uant5 5utipueg ag4 oa. ,stet Twts aq pinoM sTgl -40.1 ICq 4oT Uegl. kag4e.4 'aiogM a se wawdoianap pauueid agq.
