TREE CONSERVATION BOARD
Minutes of November 1, 1993
The Board held its regular meeting on Monday, November 1,
in the Conference Room of City Hall. Present were:
Carolyn Woods, Chairman John Weldon, Jr.
Jim Pelkey Hope Van Nortwick
Staff: George Worley, Designee Carl Walker, Coordinator
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by Carolyn Woods.
The Board reviewed the application for property described as
Lot # 21, Unit # 1, Oceanwalk. Chuck Hardman, builder, and
property owners Mr. & Mrs. Chris Bartholomew were present for
the review of the application with the Board.
Discussion took place and the Board was advised that alter-
ations had been made to the original plans in order to save
additional trees. It was also noted that the plans recently
were approved by the Oceanwalk Architectual Review Committee.
John Weldon moved to accept the plans, as submitted, and the
motion was seconded by Jim Pelkey. The motion carried by a
unanimous vote.
Under old business, George Worley was asked the current
status of the Blackard property. George advised that legal
action was pending.
John Weldon informed the Board that it would be necessary
to resign from the Board as he was moving to Neptune Beach.
The resignation will be effective following the first meet-
ing in December. A few suggestions were made as to a re-
placement for the vacancy that will be created.
Minutes of the last meeting were reviewed and a correction
made on page two, paragraph three, provision 4) , in the first
sentence to add " prior to a Certificate of Occupancy
being issued for the property. " Hope Van Nortwick moved to
accept the minutes, as corrected; Jim Pelkey seconded and
the motion passed unanimously.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8: 15 PM.
