MINUTES
The Tree Conservation Board met at 7:30 P.M. on April 16, 1990
in the Conference Room, City Hall. Board members present were:
Chairman Dezmond Waters, Sandra Sheppard, Carolyn Woods, Jim
Pelkey and ex-officio member, Larry Figart. Others in attend-
ance were Lyman Fletcher and Carl Walker, both members of the
Beautification sub-committee for Ordinance study.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Waters who intro-
duced Larry Figart to the Board members. Mr. Figart passed
out copies of a brochure entitled "Tree Protection for Builders
and Developers" which is published by the Division of Forestry.
Mr. Figart also brought a supply of the brochures to be util-
ized by the Board designee or by any interested parties as
reference material. Important features of the publication
were pointed out by Mr. Figart.
The minutes of all previous Board meetings were approved as
written.
The Board extended an invitation to Mr. Figart to attend all
future meetings. His mailing address was left for Brenda
Dockery so that it could be added to the mailing list.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M. Chairman Waters
asked that any members interested in working on the revision
to the Tree Ordinance remain for the meeting which followed
of the sub-committee of the Beautification Committee.
