Minutes of the meeting of February 2, 1998
The Board held its regular meeting on Monday, February 2, 1998 in the City
Commission Chambers. Present were:
Rick Bell Judy Jacobson
Susan Bullock Mary Emerson-Smith
The meeting was called to order at 7:35 PM by Judy Jacobson as acting Chairperson.
The only item of business was for removal of trees from an undeveloped commercial lot
on the southwest corner of Mayport Road and Edgar Street. No one was present to
speak to this application and the board had several questions. After discussion the
board deferred action on this application and requested staff contact the applicant to
ascertain the condition of the maple tree and the reason for the removal of the palm.
The board agreed that the shrub growing through the fence was not a tree subject to
mitigation.
The Board discussed the tree barrier and final inspection routine and requested copies
of the on-site placard and inspection request form for their information.
By unanimous vote of the Board, Mae Jones was elected Chairman and Rick Bell
Secretary.
The Board approved the minutes of the January 19, 1998 meeting without modification
and the meeting was adjourned at 8:20 PM.
