Minutes of meeting of May 18, 1998
The Board held meeting on Monday May 18th,1998 at City Hall. Present were:
Mae Jones, Chairman Richard Bell
Judy Jacobson
Staff: George Worley, Community Development Director
The meeting was called to order at 7:45 PM by the Chairman.
Agenda Item 3.A. 1 &2 The applicant for these two lots was not in attendance to
answer questions. Judy Jacobson expressed concern that the tree removal surveys
provided by the applicant were not accurate or complete in that she found trees on-site
that were not identified on the survey. The tree dimensions and the building setbacks
were also left off of the submitted drawings. The Board discussed the need for such
information and determined that lacking that information they could not act upon these
applications. Judy Jacobson moved to defer action on these applications until the next
regular meeting and to request the applicant provide all of the information required on
the application forms. Rick Bell seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Under reports and announcements the Board discussed the need to notify staff of
Board members absences when ever possible. The Board also addressed the
problem of construction on lots without trees which are not being required to meet
the minimum tree standards. Staff was requested to consider methods to prevent this
from occurring and to report at the next meeting.
The Board approved the Minutes of the May 4,1998 meeting.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30
PM.
