03-15-93 v • TREE CONSERVATION BOARD Minutes of March 15, 1993 The Board met for its regular meeting on Monday, March 15, in the Commission Chambers of City Hall. Present were: Carolyn Woods, Chairman John Weldon, Jr. Jim Pelkey Hope Van Nortwick Staff: George Worley, Designee Carl Walker, Coordinator Guest : Raymond Barrett, property owner/applicant The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM. Mr. Barrett answered questions from the Board regarding his tree removal application on Lot # 69, Unit # 2, Oceanwalk. The plans include replacement of 20 trees with diameters totaling 84". It was noted that none of the trees proposed for removal were distinctive, with the possible exception of a triple oak cluster near the lot perimeter. It was also brought out that the plans had not been before the Oceanwalk Architectual Review Committee (ARC) . After discussion, John Weldon moved to accept the plans, as presented, with Mr. Barrett' s agreement to save every tree possible within the property perimeter area, and that such approval is contingent upon there being no conflict with ARC approval. In the event such a conflict does exist with any decision of ARC, the application must again be brought before the Board. Hope Van Nortwick seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Under Old Business, George Worley reported that negotiations between the City and Mr. Blackard on the dune walk-over situ- ation at 16th & Beach Avenue had not been resolved. As a re- sult, the violations which had taken place are to come before the Code Enforcement Board. Carl reminded the Board members that the next regular meeting would be in three weeks due to there being three Mondays in March. The minutes were read and a motion made by Hope Van Nortwick to accept them as written; Jim Pelkey seconded and the motion passed unanimously. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm. Respectfully submitted, 1)L\- (/6 CY4:6 John Weldon, Jr. Secretary J L
