05-21-90 v TREE CONSERVATION BOARD MINUTES The Tree Conservation Board met on May 21, 1990 in the Confer- ence Room, City Hall. The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Chairman Dezmond Waters. Board members in attendance were: Peggy Cornelius, Jim Pelkey and Sandra Sheppard. Also in attendance was Carl Walker, Beautification Coordinator. Chairman Waters announced to those present that Brenda Dockery, the Board designee, had resigned effective June 1, 1990. He proposed that Donald Ford, Code Enforcement Officer, act in the capacity of Board designee until such time as the vacancy left by Mrs. Dockery could be filled. A motion was made to this ef- fect, seconded and passed. Chairman Waters advised that the number of permits being re- quested were down to the extent that the necessity of monthly Board meetings might be reconsidered. The consensus of the Board members was that lack of pending business before the Board could preclude the regular monthly meeting. Chairman Waters stressed that all Board members should leave the regular scheduled meeting date available in the event a meeting was neccessary to conduct business. Members were informed that the Public Hearing and Final Reading of the Tree Ordinance was scheduled for the City Commissioner's Meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 29 at 7:15 P.M. All Board members were urged to attend. Copies of the Ordinance were dis- tributed to the members present. It was suggested that local Tree Service businesses be notified of the requirements of the Tree Ordinance after its passage. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
