Approval of Minutes of Meeting of November 6, 2002 A motion was made by Board Member Shaughnessy, seconded by Board Member Rockwood and unanimously carried to approve the Minutes of the Tree Conservation Board meeting of November 6, as written. 4. A motion was made. by Board Member Shai~ghitessy, seconded by Board Member Rockwoacl and unanimous carried to direct the BuBdin~g ~clal to issue a permi# for the removal of a 16" unprotected oak and a 18" unprotected with no mitigation required. 2j 1479 Laurel Way: Building Off vial Ford advised that the,8" oak free Indicated-in the application was used for mitigation one year ago, therefore, the tree was required to he replaced at 100 percent. Buis-4~~cial Ford advisod that ~e-su~ey was e+~d ~~ ~e liuiider a$d-mot a, ficenfsed surveyor, and the survey was suppiied after the removal of the trees so there was no way ~to `""' verify accuracy of the survey. He also advised the Board that a notice was sent to Coppenbarger Homes on April 26, 2002, advising them tha# a tree removal permit was hLinutes of Tree Consen~ation Board November 20, 2002 Page 2 required prior to issuance of a building permit. Discussion ensued with regard to tree removal permit applications. A motion was made by Board Member Shaughnessy, seconded by Board Member Rockwood and unanimously carried to not accept the Tree Removal Application. A motion was .made by Board Member Shaughnessy, seconded by Board Member Rockwood and unanimously carried to require Coppenbarger Homes to submit an accurate survey showing the cleared area of the Iota 58() Sherry Drive: Building Official Ford informed the Board that 44" of hardwood was removed instead of 56" of hardwood. He fi~rther stated that the applicant presented a check to the City of Atlantic Beach for a portion of the mitigation and planted trees to complete the balance of the mitigation required. 4. Old Business A. Tree-Removal Application; .Discussion was held and the Board deferred this item to the. next Tree Conservation Board meeting. b. Reoorts and Announcements The Board discussed permit fees for Tree Removal Applications and determined that they would discuss this issue at a future meeting. ~~~ 7.
