he will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record
of the proceedings is made, which record shall include the testimony of evidence upon which appeal is to
be based.

August 11, 2001
A special called meeting of the Tree Conservation Board was held Saturday, August 11, 2001. Present
were Chairperson Mae Jones, Richard Bell, Judith Jacobson, Barbara Mears, Building Official Don Ford
and Recording Secretary Susan Dunham.
1. Call to Order
Chairperson Jones called the meeting to order at 10:05 a.m.
2. Recognition of Visitors
None.
3. Tree Removal Applications
1) Property located across the street from 44 Jackson Road (Bay of Palms): Mr. Victor Dorbu and
Mr. Tommy Lyles, owners of the property, Mr. Warren Brew, contractor, and Mr. Jay Devine, Landscape
Architect, were in attendance to represent the application. The Tree Conservation Board members walked
the property, measured trees and made corrections to the survey.
A motion was made by Board Member Jacobson, seconded by Board Member Bell and
unanimously carried to approve the application and direct Building Official Ford to issue a permit
for the removal of 92" of oak to be mitigated with 46" of oak on site, and the removal of 94" of
other hardwood to be mitigated with the required 47" of hardwood on site, and a note adding that
• there is an additional 20" of hardwood on site which could be used if required with special note of a
specimen crape myrtle multi-trunk at 21.5" to be included in the protected hardwood trees.
4. Adjournment:
There being no other business or discussion,the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
