MINUTES OF TREE CONSERVATION BOARD April 17, 2000 A regular meeting of the Tree Conservation Board was held Monday, April 17, 2000, in the City Hall Commission Chambers. Present were Mae Jones, Chairperson, Eloise Koerber, Richard Bell and Staff Members Don Ford and Susan Dunham. 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Mae Jones at 7:40 p.m. 2. Recognition of Visitors None. 3. Approval of Minutes of Meeting of April 3, 2000 Eloise Koerber moved to approve the Minutes of the Tree Conservation Board meeting of April 3, 2000; Richard Bell seconded and the motion carried. 4.A. Old Business/Tree Removal Applications 1. None. 5.A. New Business/Tree Removal Applications 1. 318 Pine Street: No one was present to address this application. The Board discussed inaccuracies on the site plan which included inaccurate species of trees and measurements. In particular,the fallen oak shown with four limbs is actually a multi-trunk tree measuring 20.3" After further discussion, • Richard Bell moved that the application be accepted to remove 38.1"of oak to be mitigated with 19" of oak by paying into the tree fund or planting on site. This selection will be in writing to the Building Official and the Building Official will issue a permit. Eloise Koerber seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. 6. Reports and Announcements Don Ford updated the Board as follows: 1. Merve Russell of Lots 4 and 5, Block 244, Lots 4 and 5, Block 245, Section H, paid$3,000 into the Tree Fund to satisfy the mitigation requirements set by the Board. 2. Plans submitted to the Tree Board are now posted on site to facilitate the inspection process. 3. Don Ford is working on a new Tree Removal Application to make it more user friendly. 4. Lots 4 and 5, Mayport Industrial Park (450 Mealy Drive)paid$577.50 into the Tree Fund to satisfy mitigation requirements. Mae Jones requested that Don Ford determine the status of 750 Mayport Road. 7.
