TREE CONSERVATION BOARD
Minutes of Meeting of April 6, 1992
The Board met for its regular meeting on Monday, April 6,
in the Commission Chambers of City Hall. Present were:
Carolyn Woods, Chairman Hope Van Nortwick
Tom Frohne John Weldon, Jr.
Jim Pelkey
Carl Walker, Coordinator George Worley, Designee
The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm.
No representative was in attendance to discuss with the Board
the property at Jasmine Street (Lot # 5, Block # 99) . The
owner had asked to be placed on the Agenda to reconsider the
approval previously given. It was decided that no action
could be taken on the request due to the absence of the owner
and since the basis for the appeal was not clear.
George Worley reported that a replacement tree has now been
planted in the front yard of Lot # 71, Selva Linkside, to
fulfil the conditions of the permit previously issued.
Tom Frohne made a motion that the Minutes of the last meeting
be accepted, as written. Hope Van Nortwick seconded and the
motion passed unanimously.
Carolyn Woods reported on a meeting which she had attended
Friday, April 3, with Theo Mitchelson, Chairman of the Ocean-
walk Home Owner' s Association, and George Worley. The pro-
cedures used by that group as well as their criteria for tree
removal had been discussed. Mr. Mitchelson had also extended
an invitation to the Board to attend their meetings, held
every other Thursday. Hope Van Nortwick agreed to attend a
meeting as representative of the Tree Board and to report the
results at the next meeting.
With no further business before the Board, the meeting was
adjou ,ed 'at 8:05 pm.
