MINUTES OF TREE CONSERVATION BOARD • December 15, 2001 A special called meeting of the Tree Conservation Board was held Saturday, December 15, 2001,at the site located at the northeast corner of Jackson Road and Mayport Road. Present were Richard Bell, Judith Jacobson, Barbara Mears, Carol Rockwood, Maureen Shaughnessy, Building Official Don Ford and Susan Dunham. 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 10:09 a.m. 2. Recognition of Visitors None. 3. Approval of Minutes of Meeting of December 3, 2001 A motion was made by Board Member Mears, seconded by Board Member Jacobson and unanimously carried to approve the Minutes of the Tree Conservation Board Meeting of December 3, 2001. 4.A. Old Business/Tree Removal Applications 1. Northeast Corner of Jackson Road and Mayport Road: Mr. Bill Henry introduced himself. He advised the Board that he has provided an updated survey and marked the boundaries of the lot. The Board members reviewed the lot and determined that Mr. Henry would like to remove 445"of palm, • 183.5"of oak and 439"of hardwood,which would require mitigation of 222.5"of palm, 91.75"of oak and 219.5"hardwood. The Board located on site mitigation of 36.25"of hardwood and 52"of oak. A motion was made by Board Member Shaughnessy, seconded by Board Member Rockwood and unanimously carried to approve the application and direct the Building Official to issue a permit for the removal of 439" of hardwood, 183.5" of oak and 445" of palm to be mitigated on site with 36.25" of hardwood,52" of oak and that the builder will plant on site 183.5" of hardwood, 39.75" of oak and 222.5" of palm. In addition, if the builder locates additional on site mitigation, he will deal with this administratively with the Building Official. 5.A. New Business/Tree Removal Applications 1. Part of Section 17, Township 2 South, Range 29 East: Mr. Damon Rebhahn introduced himself. The Board members reviewed the lot. Board Member Bell advised that most of the oaks shown on the survey are camphor trees. The Board determined that the applicant would like to remove 49"of oak and 161.5"of hardwood. The Board located on site mitigation of 15.75"of oak and 43.5"of hardwood. A motion was made by Board Member Rockwood, seconded by Board Member Shaughnessy and unanimously carried to approve the application and direct the Building Official to issue a permit for the removal of 49" of oak and 161.5" of hardwood to be mitigated on site with 15.75" of oak and 43.5" of hardwood and the applicant will plant on site 8.75" of oak and 37.25" of hardwood. 6.
