Dear Mr. Jones; We are requesting the waiver of the building code requirement that the shower opening be 22" wide. It currently is 22" wide without the glass door. After the installation of the door the opening will be slightly less than 22" by about an inch. You indicated the building department would waive the width requirement if we requested it. The time it would take to correct the defect would set back our occupying our new addition by several weeks. Thanks you for allowing us to waive the width requirement on the shower door opening.
