Building Code and it meets all the requirements of Section 1507—Metal Roofing Shingles. The code does not address attaching these shingles to existing roofing shingles, however Section 1507.6.1 states, "Metal roof shingles shall be applied to a solid or closely fitted deck, except where the roof covering is specifically designed to be applied to spaced sheathing."
