UNION NEGOTIATION MEETING
AUGUST 23, 2011
The negotiation meeting was called to order at 4:55 P.M. Those in attendance were:
City: George Foster, Chief Negotiator (Human Resource Manager)
Union: Andy Bemis, Business Manager, Local 630
Emanuel L. Brown, Negotiator
Desmond A. Green, Negotiator
Barrion C. Hill, Negotiator
Eric Williams, Negotiator
1. Specific proposals discussed are summarized within attachment 1.
2. The City and Union discussed the October 1, 2011 employee health insurance changes and pension
increases.
3. The City advised the Union that the City did not have any pay proposals for this initial meeting and
indicted that the June 2011 CPI was a +3.9%
4. The City further advised that changes to the General Employee Pension Plan may desire to be
negotiated; however, specifics would not be available until after the actuarial study was completed and
the City Commissioner had an opportunity to review.
5. The date for the next negotiation session was left open.
6. Adjournment. The meeting adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
