BACKGROUND: In accordance with the Northeast Florida Public Employees' Local
630 Agreement with the City, we are required to furnish and clean
uniforms for City bargaining unit employees required to wear
uniforms.
The City's current contract is with Cintas Corporation. The
contract expires on July 31, 2004. Bid number 0304-17 was
opened June 2, 2004 at 3:00 PM. There were two bidders, Cintas
Corporation and G & K Services.

RECOMMENDATION: Award the contract to Cintas Corporation for one year starting
August 1, 2004.
BUDGET: This is the same rate as last year's contract and is budgeted in the
4400 accounts of several departments: Streets and Maintenance,
Stormwater, Water Production, Sewer Treatment, Water
Distribution, Sewer Collection, Parks and Recreation,
Beautification and Finance. The annual cost for this contract will
be approximately $10,000.
