The vertical mull "telescopes" 3/8" into the underside of the horizontal mull to lock it in place structurally. To fasten, drill a 1/8" hole, centered on the "V" groove, through the horizontal mull and vertical mull. Re-drill the horizontal mull only with 3/16" bit and fasten with screw. For best appearance, countersink and use a flothead screw. Step 7. Specify length when ordering. Overall length of horizontal mull is to be the some length as the overall flange to flange width of the mulled units below, including the vertical mull. EXAMPLE: For twin "Two Wide", Mull will be 37" + 1/8" + 37" = 74 1/8" Step 1. On lower units, follow twinning instructions shown on sheet # MULLV83A. Step 2. Position horizontal mull on top of twinned units as shown below. With 1/8" drill, drill up through pre—punched holes in the single hung heads into the mull. Before attaching with #8 x 3/4" screws (not included), run a full length bead of caulk in area shown. Step 3. Position top unit on top of mull and drill 1/8" holes, in position shown, on some centers as lower unit. With 3/16" drill, re—drill holes in sill only and fasten with screws. Step 4. For fastening the vertical mull to the horizontal mull, "face screws" can be added to the 1/2" tab on the vertical mull. Use 1/8" drill bit as described above. For best appearance, countersink the holes and use flathead screws. Step 5. Before lifting into rough opening, Drill two holes in each clip and insert into each end of mull as shown below with tabs pointing to up and down. St. Atlantic Beach Florida 32233 PH * 249-2529, - www.Skatelab.com Attn: City of Atlantic Beach Operational General Description of Skatelab of Florida Skatelab of Florida is an indoor skate park designed for the recreational use and training for skateboarding and inline rollerskating. The park has a variety of ramps and obstacles for all ages and skill levels. It is open to the public, but participants have to become a member of Skatelab before they utilize the skating facilities (as like a gym). A yearly or daily membership fee and a waiver form, signed by an adult, are the two initial requirements needed to join. Following our rules and regulations (safety equipment& etiquette) are the operational requirements to remain a member. In consideration of our cliental being of a younger nature, the park was designed with two things in mind, safety and fun. We felt that if it were safe, the fun would follow. The design of the park was a collaboration of over 25 years of experience in skateboarding, designing, and building skateboarding ramps. All direction of traffic is on coming. So, all skaters are visible and there are no intersections. The park was constructed of the standard design through out the industry(3/4"transitions and 2"x4" and 2"x6" on end framing, on 8" centers). All stationary areas above 32" are secured with railings 42"high to meet standard building code. All of the skating area is restricted of spectators, and areas for spectators are provided. All the amenities are available to provide a safe environment at Skatelab; first aid kit, safety gear, tools and accessories for repairing skateboards, water fountain, drinks, snacks, food, house phone, bathroom, experience skater on staff at all times, etc. ;Sin ely, Brian Christenson INDOOR SKATEPARK 16 west 3rd. Sin ely, Brian Christenson INDOOR SKATEPARK 16 west 3rd. No building permits have been issued for several modifications you have made to the building, no business license has been obtained, and there are some areas where the safety of your customers is in question. You have been contacted repeatedly by City staff, and they have provided direction and guidance for bringing your business into compliance with City Codes and Florida Building Code requirements. However, you have failed to comply with staff directions, and are operating illegally. You have not received a City of Atlantic Beach business license to conduct business in Atlantic Beach. A business license will not be issued until building permits have been issues and any building code violations have been corrected. A fire inspection is also required prior to the issuance of a permit. Typically, it is our practice to bring businesses and individuals into voluntary compliance with City regulations and Building Codes. However, the safety violations at your location and your failure to comply with previous directions require the City to take a more assertive position. This letter provides official notice that you are required to: a. Submit a completed application, including all required submittals, for a Building Permit to the City of Atlantic Beach Building Department. The application must include all interior and exterior improvements that have been initiated, are in progress, or have been completed within the past 12 months; b. Resolve any safety and/or building code violations that are identified in the permit review process, c. Successfully complete a Fire Inspection as required under the Atlantic Beach City Code; and d. Obtain a Business License issued by the City Clerk of the City of Atlantic Beach. If section"a"above has not been completed within ten(10)working days from the date of the delivery of this notice, then the City of Atlantic Beach may take the necessary steps authorized under City Code and State Law to prevent your business from continuing to operate illegally and unsafely. All four of these requirements should be completed with thirty(30) days of the delivery of this notice. For assistance and guidance, you are encouraged to contact Atlantic Beach Chief Building Official Don Ford. Thank you for your prompt response to this matter. I am, Very truly yours, Hanson City Manager cc: Don Ford Maureen King David Thompson
