Dear Sir:
Investigation of the properties listed below discloses that
the real estate for sale signs are in violation of City of Atlantic
Beach Ordinance Chapter 17-1-(6) . This section of the Code of
Ordinances permits real estate signs without permitting provided
that they do not exceed four square feet .
Signs exceeding the four square feet must be permitted with
the City of Atlantic Beach. This requires that all applicable
zoning requirements be met and that the fee for permitting be paid
i . e. six square feet of signage would be approximately $16 .00 .

Please note that these are signs that we are aware of at this
time. We suggest that you review all of your signs within the City
of Atlantic Beach for compliance.
You are hereby notified that unless the conditions described
above are remedied within fifteen (15) days from the date of your
receipt hereof this case will be turned over to the Code
Enforcement Board.
Under Florida Statute 162 .09, the Code Enforcement Board may
impose fines of up to $250 . 00 per day for a first violation and
$500 .00 per day for a repeat violation.
