To whom it may concern, I manage a business located at the end of Mealy Street Atlantic Beach. Our business is at the very end of the street with a large turn pavement, with only one way in and one way out. Facing my property on the left is a fifteen(15)foot X fifty(50)foot dirt easement between the pavement and our security fence. Located at the edge of this area is our mail box. My dilemma is that in recent months a business located beside me(Dawson Land Development)has assumed this area as a employee parking lot and now park there creating the following problems; 1. Blocking and obstructing a fire hydrant. 2. Blocking mail delivery, which has resulted in several warnings by postal authorities. 3. A trash dump for ashtrays, motor oil containers, and debris falling out of cars. 4. A recreational area for there employees to congregate. 5. A garage area for this business to work on vehicles and park when broken down. I have spent many man hours and much money picking up trash, repairing mail box and even repairing my chain link fence where they have parked equipment to close and pushed and pulled my security fence over. At the time of purchase of this property there were reflective style signs in this area letting motorists know the could go no further, how ever the mentioned company employees has since knocked down these signs. We provide inside our gaze parking for employees, visitors and deliveries and have no need of this space. We do how ever respectfully request permission to have the City post this area as a no parking so that we can eliminate the above mentioned problems. Being that it is at the front of our property,it is in our best interest to keep the area clean and presentable. The City designating this so would allow us some means to police and correct this problem. Thank you for your time.
