The Board granted a zoning variance of the rear yard regulations to Guy and Carol Johnson for construction of their new home in the Beachside subdivision. The Johnson's had contracted with their architect and spent a considerable amount in design fees prior to annexation. The Board recommends approval of an exception for a real estate broker's office as a home occupation for Thomas J. Aycock at 1451 Beach Avenue with the following stipulations: That the exception be issued to Mr. Aycock exclusively, that there be no increase in traffic and that the exception be granted with a one year time limit. The Board recommends approval of an exception for a mail- order business as a home occupation for Mable D. Bass at 715 Redfin Drive. The Board issued a one year extension on a rear yard variance granted to Herbert Moller on April 21, 1987 for his 50' x 50' lot on Beach Avenue in north Atlantic Beach. The variance will expire on April 21, 1989. Finish: All PVC was white. Glazing Details: The sash were exterior glazed with nominal 21 mm (13/16") thick, sealed insulating glass fabricated from two sheets of 3.0 mm (I/8")clear annealed glass a U-shaped steel spacer system embedded in sealant, single sealed. The insulating glass was set against a double-sided adhesive tape and secured with rigid vinyl glazing beads. Frame Construction: The PVC frame was constructed using mitered and welded corner construction. A snap-in PVC adapter was applied to the head. Sash Construction: The PVC sash were assembled utilizing mitered and welded corner construction. Screen Construction: The screen was constructed with extruded aluminum. The corners were miter cut and secured using plastic corner keys. The fiberglass mesh screen cloth was held-in-place with a flexible vinyl spline. The exterior and interior perimeter was sealed with a silicone sealant, with the exception of an approximate 102 mm (4") long void at each interior sill corner.
