Hi,Jim.
I hope this finds you well.
Can you direct me to the correct city entity that can address the following issue?
We live at 374 Magnolia Street. Immediately next to us (south side of our house) is 366 Magnolia. From what we know,
the house is somewhere in the foreclosure process. The last tenant has moved out. The house/property is a disaster
and,we believe, a public safety concern.
• One of the first floor sliding glass doors has been smashed and there is easy access to the house. We have
called the police(and they have investigated). God only knows what type of wildlife will be taking up residence
in the house.
• With the dense overgrown vegetation, I would think it could be a potential rat(and health) issue.
• As we move into colder months (I realize that is still a few months away)—and since it is obviously not occupied
and apparently not secured—it appears to be an attraction for those wanting to use it for other than
neighborly reasons.
• The house is an eyesore.Totally overgrown and appears to be in disrepair.
• There is considerable thatch on the roof—a potential fire hazard.
• One small tree next to our property is dead. I am concerned that the larger trees if unattended can become a
danger to our house.
1
Who can we talk to about this to get some action? I would think that whomever owns the house/mortgage has a
responsibility to keep the home in reasonable repair. This condition can affect our private property rights.
Thanks,Jim.

Mike, I inspected this property yesterday. There was a letter posted on
the front naming the property preservation company and I called them.
They said they just got this account two days ago but would take care of
the yard, securing the doors, repair the fence. This property now belongs
to the bank as of Aug 1 , 2012 , has been vacant since 2006 . I will go by
again next week and check their progress if none will send a notice of
violation. Thanks, Debbie W
