Present: City Commissioner Carolyn Woods, City Manager Jim Hanson, Beaches Leader Reporter Alexi
Strong, and seven citizens.
Meeting was called to order in the North Conference Room at 4:06 pm.
Subjects discussed included several items on the Agenda for the upcoming Commission meeting on
October 8th as follows:
1) SHADE Meeting at 5 pm on Union Negotiations
2) Item 8B - Driveway waiver on Second Street
3) Item 8C — Aquatic Drive Beautification Project
4) Item 9A — City Manager's Reports; Feasibility Study for Golf Course, engineering work for
irrigation solution and change to strategic plan priorities
5) Item IOA — Report from Commissioner Mark on meetings with Hampton Golf and SMCC Board
6) Item l OB — Request for policy to direct staff to have contract renewals ready for approval at least
two meetings prior to renewal date
The only other subject discussed was Tipping Fee Status, which included the following;
- Invoices received from City of Jacksonville
- No meeting set yet with COJ staff
- Draft contract received from Advanced Disposal for COAB disposal of yard waste
- Letters from Neptune Beach responding to COJ on billings
- Letter from Mayor Borno and Jim Hanson on same
The Meeting was adjourned at 4:59 pm.
