Dear Mr. Petway:
Please be advised, Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found the property referenced above to �u
be in violation of Chapter 17 of the City of Atlantic Beach, Code of Ordinances, Section 17-33
Banner Signs. A courtesy notice was left at this business location on October 15, 2012 and the
banner has not been removed as requested.
VIOLATION
Section 17-33. Banner Signs
(a) The purpose of banner signs shall be to promote special seasonal, civic or community
events that occur on a temporary basis. A sign permit shall not be required for banner
signs; however, all banner signs shall be registered with the City of Atlantic Beach.
No banner sign shall be hung, placed or erected prior to a form as provided by the
Planning and Building department and payment of fees as may be established by the
City Commission.
(b) Banner signs may be displayed subject to registration verifying compliance with the
following provisions:

This letter requests that the noted violations be corrected by removal of the banner
attached to the 2"d floor railing upon receipt of this notice.

If the violation is corrected and then recurs or if the violation is not corrected by the time
specified in this notice this case may be presented to the Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement
Board even if the violation has been corrected prior to the board meeting. To avoid having this
case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice must be in
compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board
may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for continuing violations.
