Front yard set-back 408 Irex Road, Lot 2, Block 11, Royal Palms R/P Pt Unit 2A, Atlantic Beach RE#171419-0000 Case #91512 Dear Mr. Isley: Our records indicate no record that building permits were obtained for the metal carport structure installed/erected in your front yard and installed/erected encroaching in the required twenty (20') foot front yard setback in violation of The City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances, Chapter 6, has adopted the Florida Building Code which requires permits be obtained prior to this type work/installation and Chapter 24, Land Development Regulations to wit: r FLORIDA BUILDING CODE 2 t Section 105 PERMITS 105.1 Required. Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, rep ir, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any required impact resistant coverings, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit. Residential, Single family districts (RS-1) (e) Minimum Yard Requirements.The minimum yard requirements in the RS-1 Zoning Districts shall be as follows: (1) Front yard: Twenty (20) feet. Please have the unpermitted metal carport structure removed or from your front yard within twenty (20) days of receipt of this notice or provide evidence that a permit was obtained from the City of Atlantic Beach. To avoid having this case be referred to the Code Enforcement Board, all listed violations on this notice must be in compliance on or before the date established by Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement. The Board may impose fines up to two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for continuing violations.
