Palm Avenue and Sherry Drive
I have reviewed the plans on 5/22/96 that you approved on
5/17/96 for the construction of a custom designed home at
Palm Avenue and Sherry Drive. The design maximizes parking
by the construction of three garages directly under the
living area. These garages have driveways which appear to be
setback 15 ' 0" minimum from the Palm Avenue right-of-way .
The plans do not show Palm Avenue nor its right-of-way . The
filed plat shall indicate Palm Avenue and its right-of-way
and that this right-of-way may not be blocked due to the
emergency access/egress needed by the City to its lift
station at 460 Palm Avenue ( 6th & Sherry Drive) . The plat
shall indicate that nothing can be erected, planted or
excavated within this right-of-way .
Furthermore, a 12" diameter sewer main runs under this right-
of-way and was televised during the recently completed
utility Improvement - Saltair Subdivision project with a
sewer lateral already in place for this property 114 feet
west of the manhole on Sherry Drive.
