Spans are based on uniformly loaded joists and include allowances for repetitive use members. •u 2. Live loads of 40 psf assumed. Additional dead loads due to various combinations of construction materials. 3. All TrimJoist products are cambered to compensate for dead load deflections. Do not install upside down. 4. Deflections shown assume %" rated subfloor that has been both glued and nailed. 5. Total deflections are limited to less than L/240. Live load deflections are limited to less than L/360. 6. Indicated spans are full member length, including a minimum bearing width of 1.5 inches on each end. 7. Limit total reactions to those indicated in the Maximum Crushing Load chart below. 8. TrimJoist products are designed for clear span applications only. Do not apply center supports, cantilevers, or concentrated loads without first consulting a TrimJoist representative. Maximum Crushing Loads in 1-Section Applied Width is the width of the loaded wall above Applied Widthlz" 51z or the bearing width whichever is less. Maximum Maximum Lbs 3000 4550 6100 Lbs includes reaction plus concentrated end loads from above.- A Note About Floor Stiffness: Floor performance is greatly influenced by joist stiffness. Experience has shown that a floor system that, is designed to minimum code acceptance (L/360) may not meet the expectations of some owners. TrimJoist Corporation strongly recommends that floor spans be limited to those indicated in the maximum span tables. The numbers in these tables are based on both gluing and nailing the subfloor. In cases where the subfloor is nailed only, spans remain the same, but the stiffness must be reduced by 20%. TrimJoistTm Maximum Duct Sizes TJ10 TJ12 TJ14 TJ1 6 TJ 18 fc. Live toads of 40 psf assumed. Additional dead loads due to various combinations of construction materials. 3. All Trim-loist products are cambered to compensate for dead load deflections. " 8. TrimJoist products are designed for clear span applications only. Do not apply center supports, cantilevers, or concentrated loads without first consulting a TrimJoist representative. Maximum Crushing Loads in 1-Section Applied Width is the width of the loaded wall above Applied Width 1'/=" 31/=" 512' or the bearing width whichever is less. Maximum Maximum Lbs 3000 4550 6100 Lbs includes reaction plus concentrated end loads from above. A Note About Floor Stiffness: Floor performance is greatly influenced by joist stiffness.
