BACKGROUND: The City proposes to amend the 2013 Operating Budget for three items.
They are:
1,) To upgrade the City's Laserfiche Software application for the
purpose of providing better search capability for public access to City
records. This ordinance includes $ 15,000 to purchase the software and an
additional $2,000 for the related annual support. This purchase will be
funded frol•n General Fund, fund balance reserves.
2.) To accept donated funds restricted for the purchase of wetlands
just south of Dutton Island Road from the River Branch Preserve
Foundation. This ordinance creates a budget for both the receipt of the
donation and the purchase of the land with an estimated cost of $102,820.
3.) A budgeted a grant match of $9,934 for the F.E.M.A. Wind
Retrofit Grant was funded last year and those funds were moved to a
Special Revenue Fund specifically for that purpose. The project is now
complete, but only a portion of the match was required, This ordinance
troves the remaining match funds of $5,196 back to the general Fund.
BUDGET: The increase to the City's Operating Expense Budget is $125,016.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OPERATING BUDGET
FOR THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA FOR
FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2012 AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2013, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Atlantic Beach requires that the City
Commission approve all budgetary increases and transfers at the fund level, and
WHEREAS, the nature of budgetary systems and those day -to -day decisions affecting
such budgetary systems require adjustments from time -to -time, and
WHEREAS, the City is proposing to upgrade its Laserfiche Software for the purpose of
providing better search capability for public access to city records. This ordinance includes
$15,000 to purchase the software and an additional $2,000 for the related annual support, and
WHEREAS, the City proposes to accept donated funds restricted for the purchase of
wetlands just south of Dutton Island Road from the River Branch Preserve Foundation. This
